York / Carlisle 2015

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend both the ford show in Carlisle, Pa and the NSRA meet in York, Pa last weekend.

One of the benefits of the keystone state I guess...

Friday was the day for the 40, and luck was with me as I found some great parts in the swap meet.

Im also happy to report that the A/C still works great.

And ... a mileage milestone is looming..

I spent Saturday with the family and the oldsmobile.. had a nice day relaxing at the show and a nice ride to and from the show...

Firebird coming...

The annual firebird festival is in a few weeks and I've been watching the groups progress online.

Today was a perfect fall weather day and I was able to visit in person this may be my favorite yet.

Saturday was the second annual  "Race of Gentlemen" in New Jersey..

I seldom get a "bad deal" in Jersey so I took a ride.. and had a great day with 100's of friends (new and old)

Racing on the sand isnt something I had ever experienced, and I am still baffled by the process, needless to say.. the quality of the racecars, and the experience was unreal..

Hope to make it again next year.

Somehow I've failed to keep this blog up to date..

especially since another Recycled Woodie has come online.

a few weeks back Hemmings ran a nice short piece about the Wine Country Region ACBS show my wife and I attended..
here: Event Coverage – Wooden boat and woodie car show in Hammondsport, New York

and while I was happy to attend with the recycled 40 ford woodie,
I had hoped to take both the ford and the NEW-OLD Oldsmobile woodie to the event..
unfortunately "new car" bugs precluded the olds from this trip.


following our return from New York we had a nice trip south.. with both cars..

that post will have to wait..
